The Strategic Sourcing Manager, Mechanical Components role is onsite in Foster City, CA. Base salary is $129,000–$171,000 per year. The role supports Zoox’s autonomous vehicle development program and autonomous ride-hailing service through direct-material sourcing and supplier partnerships. The manager leads sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiations, and commercial relationship management for vehicle components. By coordinating with engineering, operations, finance, legal, and other teams, the role develops supply-chain partnerships, manages supplier performance, and identifies cost and process improvements.

What you'll do

• Lead procurement and partnership initiatives for vehicle direct materials
• work cross-functionally on business and technology roadmaps
• develop strategic supply-chain partnerships
• manage supplier milestones, change orders, quality, and cost
• conduct supplier and market research
• build total-cost-of-ownership models
• ensure contract coverage
• serve as lead commercial contact for suppliers
• review and finalize supplier quotes
• support supplier selection and identify sourcing alternatives.
