What you'll do

• Develop preliminary concepts, schematic designs, design development drawings, and construction documents
• prepare plans for retail building shells, tenant build-outs, and other commercial spaces
• conduct field visits and document existing conditions
• coordinate with architectural, engineering, and construction teams
• review plans and shop drawings
• resolve design conflicts and constructability concerns
• research and apply building codes and zoning requirements
• prepare information for preliminary cost estimates and evaluate value-engineering options.
