Lead Early Childhood Teacher

The Lead Early Childhood Teacher role is onsite in Tempe, AZ, with pay of $16–$17 per hour. The position is with New Horizon Little Learners, whose team provides child-centered early education through play and meaningful interactions. The teacher creates a safe, developmentally appropriate classroom, plans learning activities, monitors children’s development, and communicates with families. The role also mentors classroom staff and supports children’s emotional, physical, and intellectual development.

What you'll do

• Ensure children’s safety, health, and well-being
• foster a nurturing environment
• design and implement age-appropriate curriculum focused on sensory exploration, motor skills, language, and emotional development
• monitor milestones and maintain documentation
• communicate with parents through Brightwheel updates, conferences, and conversations
• lead and mentor assistant or co-teachers
• maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and licensing compliance
• rotate toys and learning materials monthly.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or GED, at least six months of paid early childhood experience, and a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card before starting. CPR/First Aid certification is required or must be obtained; a Food Handler Card is preferred.
