Substitute Site Assistant — Afterschool Program

The Substitute Site Assistant — Afterschool Program role is onsite at various Youth Services sites in San Francisco, CA. Compensation is $23.50–$25 per hour, for up to 28 hours per week. Good Samaritan Family Resource Center works to help families access services, develop self-sufficiency, and participate fully in the community. The assistant provides direct support to children in a drop-in afterschool setting, helps maintain a safe and enriching environment, and assists with activities and curriculum. As an on-call substitute, the role fills program needs as they arise and supports daily operations under the Program Manager.

What you'll do

• Engage with children and provide direct service as assigned
• assist with creating and implementing youth activities and curriculum
• maintain a clean, fun, and engaging environment
• uphold safety policies
• perform administrative and operating tasks assigned by the Program Manager
• participate in quarterly training summits
• follow the predetermined work schedule
• chaperone field trips as needed
• maintain confidentiality.
