Certified Medication Aide (CMA)

The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) role is onsite in Willis, TX; compensation is not specified. The position works in a long-term care facility under the supervision of a licensed nurse and supports resident care. The aide prepares and administers medications under nurse supervision while also performing duties consistent with those of a Certified Nursing Assistant. The work supports residents’ daily needs, safety, rights, and care plans through documentation and coordination with nursing staff.

What you'll do

• Prepare, administer, and document medications under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse
• assist residents with activities of daily living, meals, positioning, and recreational activities
• follow care plans and assigned restorative procedures
• monitor and record vital signs and report changes
• document care and report incidents
• follow safety, infection control, and sanitation policies
• assist with resident admission, transfer, and discharge as assigned
• participate in meetings and training and assist with new staff orientation.
