Traveling Superintendent

The Traveling Superintendent role is onsite, with construction projects throughout the United States and frequent check-ins at the headquarters in Downers Grove, IL. Compensation is $105,000–$135,002 per year. RWE Design Build is seeking a superintendent to lead construction efforts and monitor project schedules. The role coordinates construction activities, schedules, quality, materials, inspections, and closeouts across projects. It works with owners, architects, subcontractors, and project managers to resolve conflicts and keep work aligned with plans, specifications, and project timelines.

What you'll do

• Review plans, specifications, sites, local codes, officials, and inspection procedures
• coordinate construction schedules
• monitor quality standards
• conduct meetings with subcontractors
• ensure materials arrive according to schedule
• work with owners, representatives, architects, and subcontractors to resolve conflicts and notify the Project Manager
• maintain daily logs, progress photographs, and weekly reports
• complete paperwork
• attend project meetings
• schedule inspections
• coordinate punch lists and project closeouts.
