What you'll do

• Evaluate referrals and admissions for appropriate placement based on individual needs and bed availability
• receive referrals by phone, EMR, fax, and care referral partners
• gather prospective patient information and route inquiries to admissions staff
• enter referral data and maintain the Referral Tracking System
• verify insurance and alert admissions personnel
• obtain managed care authorizations
• assess clinical appropriateness and placement when volume is high.
