What you'll do

• Identify patients
• assemble supplies and equipment
• prioritize timed, STAT, and routine collections
• select an appropriate venipuncture method
• draw and label blood specimens
• follow order-of-draw and personal protective equipment procedures
• dispose of sharps and medical waste
• maintain records and confidentiality
• monitor patients for reactions
• provide aftercare information
• collect and process COVID-19 tests.
