Communications Intern

Job overview

The Communications Intern position is hybrid in New York City, with three days in the office and two days remote, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The six-month internship pays $20 per hour for BA graduates and $30 per hour for MBA graduates. The MLBPA represents Major and Minor League players and supports their workplace conditions, benefits, rights, and common interests. The intern supports day-to-day media, public relations, and communications work across the Association’s labor, licensing, and nonprofit activities. Research, writing, editing, and media-list work contribute to the Association’s communications objectives.

What you'll do

• Monitor news and conduct biographical, organizational, and topical research
• draft and edit issue summaries, analysis, and reports
• distribute press releases
• maintain the department media list
• assist with special communications projects as needed.
