What you'll do

• Represent immigrants in applications before USCIS and in Immigration Court proceedings
• screen clients for immigration relief eligibility
• prepare and file applications and supporting documents
• conduct consultations and track cases
• coordinate outreach and presentations for community organizations
• train partner organization staff
• organize and conduct clinics
• represent NYLAG at community events
• maintain partner relationships and submit quarterly reports.

Why this role

Temporary full-time position. Requires a J.D. and admission to the New York or another state bar; two years of relevant immigration experience is preferred, with three to five years preferred. Spanish or another language common to the client population is preferred.
