CNC Machinist II – Second Shift

The CNC Machinist II – Second Shift role is onsite in Houston, TX, with evening/night hours from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Compensation is $25–$28 per hour plus a $1.00 evening-shift differential. The machinist supports a client’s manufacturing operations on Houston’s south side. The machinist sets up and operates CNC lathes and mills, supports production schedules, and helps maintain equipment and process flow. The role also uses machining and programming knowledge to inspect parts, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments that support efficient production.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate CNC lathe and mill equipment
• load and unload raw materials
• support production schedules and process flow
• provide technical assistance on tooling issues
• perform assigned preventive maintenance
• support software programming applications and data-entry processes
• inspect work using precision measuring tools
• modify existing CNC programs to improve efficiency and troubleshoot minor programming errors
• read prints, drawings, and blueprints
• operate manual and CNC equipment.
