This role exists to develop and monitor accommodations for students with special needs, advocating for their academic, emotional, and physical support while maintaining high expectations. The Special Education Teacher will collaborate with families and teams to develop IEPs and 504 plans, and create an inclusive environment where students can become self-guided learners.
What you'll do
- Modify, differentiate, and teach an inclusive curriculum.
- Collaborate with families and Special Education teams to develop 504 and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Create an inclusive and safe environment.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school leaders, and families to analyze student work and ensure compliance with IEPs.
- Gather academic growth data and write goals for IEP meetings.
- Teach pull-out, push-in, small group, and one-on-one instruction.
- Build positive relationships with students and partner with families.
- Engage in professional development, mentorship, and coaching.
- Participate in school-wide meetings.
What we're looking for

- Experience
- 1-2 years experience preferred.
