Lead Technician (Structured Cabling)

The Lead Technician (Structured Cabling) role is onsite in Eagle Mountain, UT; compensation is not specified. The lead technician installs, tests, and troubleshoots structured cabling systems while guiding teams of technicians and installers. The role supports safe, quality project delivery and develops team capability through training and on-site leadership.

What you'll do

• Follow company and client worksite safety policies
• install structured cabling systems
• interpret floorplans, drawings, specifications, and cut sheets
• set up copper and fiber testers
• test and troubleshoot systems
• terminate, label, and test fiber and copper installations
• lead teams of 3–5 technicians and installers
• train team members and help develop technicians toward lead responsibilities
• oversee jobsite organization and housekeeping
• use Microsoft Office and related tools.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or GED, OSHA 30 within the first two weeks, and 2–5 years of structured cabling or related experience. BICSI Installer 2 Copper/Fiber credentials are preferred; BICSI Certified Technician must be earned within 12 months. Travel may range from minimal overnight travel (5%) to frequent travel (50%+) depending on region.
