Mental Health Professional — MHR Department

Job overview

The Mental Health Professional role is onsite in Shreveport, Louisiana, and is full-time. Compensation is $18–$24 per hour. The position supports the MHR Department under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional (LMHP). The role contributes to recipients’ mental health goals through community support, counseling and family interventions, skills training, and coordination with the supervising clinician. It also connects recipients and families with supportive services and community resources.

What you'll do

• Interview recipients and observe behavior
• assist the LMHP with therapeutic treatment
• discuss progress toward mental health goals
• consult on treatment plans and amend them as directed
• provide psychosocial skills training and crisis intervention in collaboration with the LMHP
• refer recipients to supportive services
• monitor behavior in home, school, and community settings
• connect families with community resources.
