What you'll do

• Handle on-call responsibilities, including first calls and transfers
• communicate with families and schedule arrangements
• care for and prepare the deceased, including embalming when authorized
• arrange and conduct funeral and memorial ceremonies
• prepare contracts and collect payments
• coordinate interment or cremation
• supervise and assist with services and funeral vehicles
• complete service and vital-statistics documentation
• comply with applicable licensing and regulatory requirements
• provide aftercare when the Family Service Counselor is absent.
