Job overview

The Buyer role is onsite in Saint Louis, Missouri, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.; occasional weekend work may be required. Compensation is $25 per hour. System One is seeking a buyer for a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting project purchasing needs. The buyer supports project planning and execution by estimating material and freight costs, processing purchase requests, evaluating supplier offers, and tracking deliveries. The role coordinates with suppliers, project teams, and Accounts Payable to help keep orders, costs, and project budgets accurate.

What you'll do

• Provide material and freight cost estimates
• monitor and fulfill purchase requests
• analyze supplier offers for cost and delivery outcomes
• resolve issues with suppliers and project teams
• track delivery commitments and supplier performance
• facilitate purchasing-system change orders
• manage returns and warranty exchanges
• resolve invoice discrepancies with Accounts Payable
• allocate time and costs to project budgets.
