Special Event Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

The Special Event Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) role is onsite at assigned special events in Boise, ID. Compensation is not specified. Acute Rescue and Transport provides event-based basic life support care to support the safety and well-being of participants, staff, and spectators. The role exists to assess, treat, and monitor ill or injured people during events and respond promptly to incidents. EMTs document care, coordinate with dispatch and other responders, and may assist paramedics with advanced life support interventions when assigned.

What you'll do

• Provide basic life support assessment, treatment, and monitoring within established protocols
• respond to medical incidents within event areas
• assist paramedics with advanced life support interventions when assigned
• operate emergency vehicles and transport patients
• communicate with dispatch, hospitals, police, and fire personnel
• document patient care
• maintain records of vehicles, supplies, training, and work
• and perform standby duties at mobile patrols, fixed medical posts, or ambulance assignments.
