The Field Engineer — Heavy Civil Construction role is onsite in the Lake Charles, LA / Vinton, LA / Beaumont, TX area. Compensation is not specified. The engineer supports project delivery through submittal and permit tracking, procurement and bid assistance, construction administration, drawing and change-order review, and project closeout. The role works with senior engineers and project stakeholders to keep construction documentation, coordination, and milestones on track.

What you'll do

• Receive, review, forward, and track submittals
• assist with permits, bid packages, and procurement
• receive and review change orders
• assist senior civil engineers with entry-level engineering tasks
• support onsite construction administration and observation, including monitoring contractor compliance
• evaluate change-order requests and shop drawings
• process as-built drawings
• complete project closeout requirements
• coordinate meeting agendas, minutes, and action items
• maintain professional relationships with project stakeholders.
