The Teacher Assistant – Head Start, 52-Week Position is an onsite role in Boston, MA. Compensation is $23.97 per hour. ABCD Head Start and Children’s Services supports children and families in the Greater Boston community. The assistant supports children’s care and education as part of a teaching team, helping deliver developmentally appropriate classroom experiences and meet program education objectives. The role also supports family engagement, classroom operations, and individualized learning needs.

What you'll do

• Assist with preschool children’s care and education
• provide a safe, nurturing, individualized environment
• observe children and contribute to lesson plans and individualized activities
• participate in home visits, parent-teacher conferences, team meetings, and IEP development
• maintain records and classroom supervision
• provide classroom coverage when the Teacher or Lead Teacher is absent
• maintain confidentiality and report suspected abuse or neglect as required by law.
