The Registered Nurse (RN) — Emergency Department position is onsite in Mauston, WI. Compensation is not specified. The nurse coordinates direct emergency care for patients from pediatric through geriatric ages and works with other disciplines and ancillary services. The role exists to assess, prioritize, and coordinate emergency care while supporting safe patient flow and effective outcomes. The RN performs triage, treatments, documentation, patient and family education, and collaboration with providers and other care teams, including responding to emergencies and resuscitation protocols.

What you'll do

• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• perform age-appropriate assessments and Emergency Severity Index triage
• document care and patient responses
• coordinate care for multiple patients and collaborate with providers and ancillary teams
• administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments
• monitor life-support and technical equipment
• respond to crises and use delegation appropriately
• assess discharge needs and educate patients and families
• maintain supplies and equipment.
