Tier III Application Support Specialist

Job overview

The Tier III Application Support Specialist role is hybrid, with onsite work in Arlington, VA one to two days per week and as needed. Pay is $85,000–$95,000 per year. The specialist joins DANE LLC’s Operations team, supporting more than 70 applications and four Department of State missions. The role resolves complex application and data issues escalated from Tier I and Tier II teams, working with development and IT groups across .NET, Java, and Oracle environments. Monitoring, root-cause analysis, SQL work, and operational automation help maintain reliable production services.

What you'll do

• Monitor production applications, scheduled jobs, and ServiceNow tickets
• troubleshoot escalated incidents and service requests
• investigate application and data issues and identify root causes
• collaborate with development teams using analysis, logs, and findings
• write and execute SQL queries and perform backend data modifications under change-management and security procedures
• maintain knowledge-base articles and standard operating procedures
• support .NET, Java, and Oracle applications
• use enterprise tools including ServiceNow, CLM, jQuery, and SharePoint
• support Power BI reporting
• run PowerShell scripts for monitoring, reporting, maintenance, and automation.
