What you'll do
- Educate patients and family members
- document treatments, medications, and other care in medical records
- respond to emergency psychiatric situations
- conduct screenings and evaluations and monitor patients
- administer medications and monitor responses
- follow physicians’ orders and treatment plans
- and communicate and collaborate with medical professionals and care team members. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, District of Columbia nursing licensure, and American Heart Association BLS certification. One year of adult psychiatric and/or chemical dependency nursing experience is preferred
