Lead Residential and Commercial AV Technician

Job overview

The Lead Residential and Commercial AV Technician role is onsite in Pewaukee, WI, with pay of $25–$35 per hour. The technician leads installations for IQ Automation, a custom integration company serving Southeastern Wisconsin with audio/video, smart-home, lighting, networking, and security systems. The role combines hands-on installation and troubleshooting with field guidance for other technicians. It helps ensure custom projects are completed safely, neatly, and to the company’s quality standards while maintaining professional communication with customers and other trades.

What you'll do

• Install audio/video, automation, networking, surveillance, security, and lighting-control systems
• lead residential installations from pre-wire through completion
• direct and support technicians
• read project documentation and wiring diagrams
• run, terminate, test, and label low-voltage cabling
• install and configure equipment
• perform setup, programming, testing, and troubleshooting
• communicate issues to project managers
• maintain workmanship, organization, cleanliness, and job-site safety.
