Generator Mechanic and Service Technician

Job overview

The Generator Mechanic and Service Technician role is onsite in Birmingham, AL, with a typical Monday-through-Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compensation is $18–$25 per hour. Generator Supercenter provides generator sales, repairs, maintenance, and turnkey installations, with a stated mission to provide customers comfort and peace of mind.

What you'll do

• Travel in a company vehicle to customer residences
• communicate with customers about arrival and work
• inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain home standby generators
• follow technical manuals, diagrams, blueprints, and procedures
• test and troubleshoot automatic transfer switches
• document completed services in the electronic system
• follow safety practices.
