The Direct Support Professional — Overnight, 16 Hours role is onsite in Oak Ridge, NJ, for 16 hours per week on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Pay is $20.49 per hour Monday through Friday and $21.49 per hour for shifts beginning 11:00 p.m. Friday through 11:00 p.m. Sunday; non-work time is paid at the base rate. Catholic Charities’ Department for Persons with Disabilities provides care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes. The role supports residents’ personal health, safety, and welfare through direct assistance, supervision, documentation, and communication with the care team. It also helps residents participate in daily living and community activities.

What you'll do

• Assist or supervise residents with personal care, including bathing and toileting
• participate in or supervise cleaning, cooking, and life-skills activities
• administer or assist with medication administration
• communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and residents
• drive residents to and from day programs and within the community using agency vehicles
• document services daily
• and assist with community-based activities.

Why this role

High school diploma or equivalent and a valid, non-provisional driver’s license are required. Experience with the intellectual and developmental disabilities population is a plus. The role requires the ability to meet physical requirements for CPR/First Aid and emergency evacuation procedures.
