Technical Procurement Specialist

The Technical Procurement Specialist role is onsite and may be based in Euclid, OH; Lewiston, ME; or Coldwater, MI. The salary is $90,000–$110,000 per year. The position supports Elmet Technologies’ manufacturing operations and works with Procurement, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Production Planning to strengthen supplier and equipment capabilities. The specialist sources and qualifies suppliers, evaluates technical and commercial proposals, and manages capital equipment procurement. The role helps reduce sourcing risk, support production readiness, and build a more resilient supply chain for customer programs.

What you'll do

• Source, evaluate, qualify, and onboard suppliers
• assess technical capabilities and production readiness
• solicit and evaluate proposals using total-cost-of-ownership analysis
• support cost analysis and negotiations
• manage capital equipment procurement from requirements through installation and commissioning
• coordinate vendor assessments and purchasing
• lead project-based sourcing for customer programs
• support launch readiness and risk mitigation
• maintain procurement documentation
• and identify supply-chain resilience and continuous-improvement opportunities. Requires five or more years of procurement experience, supplier cost analysis and negotiation experience, capital equipment purchasing experience, manufacturing knowledge, project management experience, and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
