Director of Publications

Job overview

The Director of Publications role is onsite in Alexandria, VA, with telework opportunities available. Compensation is $110,000–$120,000 per year. The role supports CSWE Press and the Journal of Social Work Education within the Communications and Membership Division. This position leads CSWE’s publishing strategy and operations, developing and distributing publications that support social work educators, practitioners, students, and the broader social work community.

What you'll do

• Lead CSWE Press operations and staff
• develop publication strategy and budgets
• oversee books, reports, white papers, the Journal of Social Work Education, metadata, vendors, distribution, contracts, sales, royalties, and permissions
• edit manuscripts as needed
• represent the Press at conferences and collaborate across CSWE departments.
