What you'll do

• Escort patients to examination rooms
• obtain medical histories, medication information, chief complaints, height, weight, and vital signs
• explain treatment plans and physician instructions
• coordinate tests or admissions with outside facilities
• obtain prior authorizations
• prepare and clean treatment rooms
• dispose of contaminated supplies
• answer phones, complete insurance and FMLA forms, and schedule appointments or procedures.
