Specimen Technician — Third Shift

The Specimen Technician — Third Shift role is onsite in Gaithersburg, MD, working Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday from 12:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., with a rotating Sunday; pay is $26.23–$28.09 per hour. The role supports the Specimen Processing Department, where accurate and timely processing contributes to customer satisfaction and quality. The technician performs specimen-processing and data-entry support in a production environment, following changing compliance requirements and departmental productivity and quality standards. The work helps ensure specimens are accurately prepared and delivered for laboratory testing.

What you'll do

• Perform specimen-processing support functions that may include A-station, presort, pickup and delivery of processed specimens, imaging or microfilming, centrifugation, and aliquoting. Enter at least 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes per hour
• follow safety and compliance procedures and maintain a neat work area.
