Fiber Maintenance Technician

The Fiber Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Cheyenne, WY. Compensation is not specified. The technician supports Bluepeak’s work to deliver fiber-rich internet connections and reliable service to communities. The role exists to maintain, service, and repair telecommunications network components. By troubleshooting HFC and fiber networks, restoring service, and maintaining signal quality and compliance, the technician helps keep customer connectivity reliable.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot and repair HFC and fiber network problems
• test, balance, align, and adjust network components and equipment, including system sweep. Maintain, test, and repair HFC power supplies
• splice and activate fiber cables and equipment
• perform emergency fiber restoration
• and identify and repair signal leakage. Conduct plant serviceability surveys, report compliance incidents, maintain records and equipment, provide customer service, and participate in an on-call rotation. Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
