The Fabrication Welder II, First Shift role is onsite in Carol Stream, IL, with pay of $24–$26 per hour. MAAC Machinery builds industrial machinery and equipment; this role fabricates machine frames and components for that work. The welder fabricates and assembles structural components, checks finished work, and prepares completed machines for transport. The position is primarily fabrication, with welding as part of the work.

What you'll do

• MIG weld and fabricate machine frames and components from sheet metal, tube, flat bar, and I-beam
• fabricate industrial ovens, safety guarding, vacuum tanks, doors, brackets, and catwalks
• grind and finish products
• perform quality checks
• install components
• disassemble machines for painting and shipping
• handle materials with forklifts and overhead cranes.
