Computer Support Professional — Nuclear Facility Systems Engineering

The Computer Support Professional role is onsite at Talen Energy's Susquehanna Nuclear Facility in Berwick, PA. Compensation is $23–$27 per hour. This is a long-term contract supporting the Systems Engineering Computer Group and its hardware, software, and cybersecurity obligations.

What you'll do

• Perform basic software and hardware troubleshooting, including installations and upgrades
• use Microsoft Office applications
• carry out basic networking tasks such as setting IP addresses
• and, as a plus, perform advanced networking tasks such as updating firewalls and switches. Work around plant equipment, with some tasks in the radiological control area. The typical schedule is four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, with possible overtime. Must be detail-oriented, able to work independently using instructions and procedures, and able to obtain unescorted access to a nuclear facility.
