Inpatient Pharmacist

What you'll do

• Respond to customer calls and messages
• receive, store, prepare, label, and document vaccines
• maintain supply inventory
• administer vaccinations when necessary
• compound parenteral admixtures according to USP 797/800
• prepare chemotherapy and TPN after documented training and competency
• review patient laboratory data and charts
• check IV admixtures
• inventory controlled substances
• process and counsel on outpatient prescriptions
• review medication orders and profiles for appropriateness, interactions, duplication, and allergies
• counsel patients and document non-VA medications.
