Diesel Mechanic

The Diesel Mechanic is an onsite role based in Phoenix, AZ, with compensation of $29.96 per hour. This position supports the maintenance and repair operations for the Ryder System fleet in the Phoenix area. The role exists to perform essential vehicle maintenance, preventive inspections, and mechanical repairs on heavy-duty vehicles. The technician will diagnose mechanical and electronic issues, identify root causes of failures, and ensure all work complies with federal and corporate safety and DOT guidelines.

What you'll do

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• performs standard component inspections and repairs
• conducts preventive maintenance
• diagnoses standard mechanical and electronic problems
• identifies root causes of failures
• replaces defective components
• performs facility maintenance
• interacts with customers
• utilizes Shop Management System
• ensures compliance with safety, DOT, and MOT guidelines.
