Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician works onsite at Community First! Village in Austin, TX, for $26–$28 per hour. Mobile Loaves & Fishes operates the Village, an affordable permanent-housing community for people who have experienced chronic homelessness. The technician maintains and repairs residents’ homes, site buildings, shared facilities, and infrastructure. This work helps keep the Village safe and functional while supporting the ongoing care and stewardship of the community.

What you'll do

• Perform maintenance and preventive repairs on neighbor homes, buildings, shared facilities, and site infrastructure
• inspect systems and document findings
• respond to urgent building issues, including during rotating on-call hours
• prioritize and complete AppFolio work orders
• coordinate with the Maintenance Manager, vendors, and contractors
• communicate supply needs, check received materials, maintain inventory and organized storage, and follow safety policies.
