Medical Coder — Remote

The Medical Coder role is fully remote. Compensation is $50–$80 per hour. YO AI Labs is seeking medical coding expertise for a project focused on improving next-generation AI systems and medical datasets. The coder reviews and annotates medical records, evaluates coding accuracy, and provides expert feedback on coding guidelines and documentation scenarios. The work supports high-quality healthcare training data through accurate application of ICD-10, CPT, and Evaluation & Management guidelines.

What you'll do

• Review and annotate medical records to assign ICD-10 and CPT codes
• apply Evaluation & Management guidelines to assess coding levels and validate datasets
• follow current coding standards
• identify documentation ambiguities and inconsistencies
• provide feedback on guidelines and edge cases
• collaborate with project teams to improve AI training data quality.
