What you'll do

• Read menus and estimate food requirements
• obtain food from storage
• prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and company standards
• use kitchen equipment
• check food for proper doneness and temperature
• portion and garnish dishes
• maintain sanitation and orderliness
• coordinate with food-service employees to reduce waste
• replenish food and service-line items
• prepare items for the next day’s meals.
