Fleet Mechanic

Compensation is $35–$39 per year. The Fleet Mechanic is an onsite role based in Winsted, MN. , though the base rate is between $35.25 - $39.25 per hour, and this role supports the US Foods maintenance team. This role exists to ensure a safe and reliable fleet by performing preventative maintenance and necessary repairs on diesel equipment. The mechanic contributes to operational efficiency by maintaining tractors, trailers, and other equipment according to DOT standards.

What you'll do

• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
• Complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).
• Take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs.
• Utilize fleet maintenance system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines.
