Direct Support Professional — Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

What you'll do

• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, feeding, ambulation, medical monitoring, and health-related tasks
• foster positive relationships with individuals and their support circles
• encourage self-help activities
• implement Individual Service Plans and Behavior Support Plans
• prevent or de-escalate aggression
• document activities, drills, medications, goals, and data
• transport individuals to community activities and medical appointments
• run errands for clients as needed.
