Field Service Technician II – Solar

Job overview

The Field Service Technician II – Solar role is onsite and field-based at solar sites in and around Roseville, MN; it is not remote. Compensation is $75,000–$95,000 annually. Energy Support Services maintains solar and energy storage systems to keep them safe, reliable, and producing clean power.

What you'll do

• Perform electrical and mechanical inspections and preventative maintenance on solar systems
• independently diagnose and troubleshoot system issues
• work safely in high-voltage environments
• maintain inspection, maintenance, and repair records
• prepare technical reports and recommendations
• guide junior technicians
• support safety planning and training improvements. The role includes a rotational Saturday on-call shift and overnight travel under 10%.
