The Estimator role is onsite in Pineville, LA; compensation is not specified. Beta Engineering develops engineering, procurement, and construction projects for utility, industrial, and renewable energy customers, including substations and transmission lines. The Estimator leads the technical proposal process and helps ensure customer requests for proposals receive complete, accurate responses. The work brings together project scope, pricing, schedules, drawings, equipment information, and input from engineering and proposal teams to support new business.

What you'll do

• Read technical specifications and define project scope
• generate initial AutoCAD drawings
• assist with commercial proposal materials and pricing
• request, evaluate, and clarify vendor and provider quotes
• maintain material and labor pricing spreadsheets
• develop potential construction schedules using Microsoft Project
• coordinate with engineering
• help prepare customer presentations
• participate in department and pre-bid meetings
• recommend productivity, quality, and customer-experience improvements.
