Maintenance Mechanic

Job overview

The Maintenance Mechanic role is onsite in Nashville, TN, with pay of $24–$28 per hour. The position supports hotel facility operations by maintaining equipment, building systems, and fire and life-safety compliance. The mechanic helps keep the property safe and operational through preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, records, and coordination with vendors and other facility teams.

What you'll do

• Supervise a preventive maintenance program
• inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical defects in maintenance equipment
• train workers on preventive maintenance and safe equipment operation
• prioritize repairs
• maintain maintenance programs and budgets
• inspect boilers, pumps, chillers, cooling towers, laundry, pool, and fitness equipment
• inspect and document fire panel status
• track permits and safety documentation
• coordinate vendor records
• maintain inspection logs
• assist with fire watch and drills
• document fire equipment testing and servicing
• maintain hot work and hazard communication programs
• coordinate with Security and Housekeeping
• use property maintenance systems.
