Cook | Weekend First Shift

Job overview

The Cook role is onsite in Minneapolis, MN, working Saturdays and Sundays on first shift for 16 hours per week. Pay is $17–$18 per hour. The cook supports Turning Point, Inc.’s treatment team and its client-focused care environment. The role provides safe, nutritious meals that meet clients’ dietary needs and support their daily routines. It oversees food service operations, coordinates with clinical staff about dietary restrictions, and helps maintain a clean, organized, and supportive kitchen.

What you'll do

• Plan daily menus and prepare meals according to nutritional guidelines
• supervise kitchen staff and daily food service
• maintain food handling, sanitation, and safety standards
• manage food and supply inventory, ordering, and storage
• coordinate with clinical staff about dietary needs
• keep the kitchen clean and organized
• maintain shift notes and reports
• and respond professionally to behavioral emergencies using de-escalation techniques.
