What you'll do

• Match computer orders with specimen labels, sort and check specimens
• run standards and controls and maintain equipment
• participate in staff training
• alert supervisors to abnormal patient conditions
• identify the presence or quantity of drugs in patient systems
• operate chemistry equipment
• perform blood typing, antibody screening, and compatibility testing
• protect confidential laboratory information.
