Security Officer

Job overview

The Security Officer role is onsite in Little Rock, AR, with pay of $17.70 per hour. The officer supports safety and security programs for a center operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The role helps protect people and property by patrolling assigned areas, conducting safety checks, responding to disturbances and incidents, assisting visitors and staff, and preparing reports. It also supports security cadet training and the center’s safety and fire-prevention program.

What you'll do

• Enforce applicable laws, rules, and policies
• patrol assigned areas and watch for disturbances, fires, hazards, and suspicious activity
• assist visitors, student employees, and staff
• conduct building security and safety checks
• investigate complaints and vehicle accidents
• provide transportation as needed
• issue visitor passes and parking permits
• prepare reports and briefings
• coordinate recruiting, selection, and training of security cadets
• support safety and fire-prevention programs
• maintain equipment and conduct vehicle checks.
