What you'll do

• Take patient histories and update medication and allergy records
• assist with visit documentation in the electronic medical record
• assist with in-office procedures
• maintain laboratory data and notify patients of results when appropriate
• perform wound care, dressing applications, suture removal, blood pressure checks, and other appropriate procedures
• administer certain medications and injections under physician supervision
• prepare patients and supplies
• collect specimens and perform certain in-house tests
• maintain equipment and exam rooms
• and follow OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA standards.
