Housing Advisor & Financial Coach

The Housing Advisor & Financial Coach role is onsite in Brownsville, TX. Salary is $35,000–$40,000 per year, with a production-goal-based bonus. The role supports cdcb’s work to provide affordable housing and strengthen financial security for South Texas families and individuals. The advisor and coach helps participants build financial health and work toward housing and financial goals. Through individual counseling, financial education, foreclosure-prevention support, follow-up, and community partnerships, the role contributes to clients’ financial security and homeownership progress.

What you'll do

• Provide one-on-one financial coaching and housing counseling
• help borrowers prepare foreclosure-prevention documentation and repayment plans
• follow up with borrowers and servicers
• assess household financial profiles and recommend steps to improve credit, savings, and goal attainment
• monitor progress
• maintain client files and case records
• travel to meet clients
• provide financial literacy classes
• maintain community-partner relationships.
