What you'll do

• Maintain relationships with correctional staff, nurses, contract providers, and agencies
• schedule staff, ensure coverage, and monitor overtime
• assist with recruiting, onboarding, supervision, and performance evaluation
• monitor compliance with facility policies
• audit medical records, narcotic counts, referrals, and sick calls
• maintain medical supplies
• ensure medical orderlies are trained in sanitary practices
• monitor serious medical conditions
• follow accreditation policies.

Why this role

Requires an associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an approved program, graduation from an accredited nursing school, and a current unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the facility’s state. Two years of direct experience and supervisory experience are preferred.
