Automation Engineer, Level 2

The Automation Engineer, Level 2 role is onsite in Auburn, NH; domestic and international travel may be required. Compensation is $90,000 per year. The position supports i2i Engineering’s custom automation equipment and controls engineering work. The engineer independently completes small or simple engineering tasks while developing broader automation, controls, and electrical engineering skills. The role designs, integrates, tests, and supports control systems to meet customer requirements and project objectives.

What you'll do

• Assist with conceptual design and project scoping
• design, program, simulate, and test simple automation equipment
• create electrical schematics and bills of materials
• participate in design reviews
• integrate and modify PLC, HMI, robotics, and other control systems
• perform system startups and testing
• troubleshoot hardware and software
• document designs
• and provide installation and maintenance support.
