Street Sweeper Operator

Job overview

The Street Sweeper Operator role is onsite in Livermore, CA, with pay of $23–$25 per hour depending on experience. The work supports storm water inspection and maintenance services, helping ensure storm water returning to the ocean is clean. The operator uses street sweepers and related equipment to clear debris and contaminants from streets and curbs, maintains vehicles and equipment, and records work and incidents. The role contributes to storm drain maintenance through safe, accurate equipment operation at assigned locations.

What you'll do

• Operate street sweepers, backpack blowers, pressure washers, and hand tools
• clean equipment and perform standard checks
• fill water tanks and operate rotary brushes and spray controls
• clear trash, debris, snow, and contaminants from streets and curbs
• report incidents and mechanical failures
• maintain driver logs and forms
• follow traffic safety regulations and use appropriate signage.
